Owned by the Feete Family, Meadow Creek Dairy is in the mountains of southwest Virginia. At an elevation of 2,800 feet, the clean water, clean air, and deep soils produce an ideal environment for growing diverse, rich pastures. Pasture quality equates to superior cheese, so Appalachian is handcrafted using the raw milk from their herd of Jersey cows and is only produced when the cows are on pasture, making it a seasonal cheese. This French tomme inspired cheese has a supple, pliable texture and flavors of butter, cream, and lemons. Appalachian is a great melter and will elevate any dish you make.
